Have you ever found an old shoe in the walls of a house? Chances are it was put there to ward off evil influences such as demons, ghosts, witches, and familiars.
Witchcraft and folklore traditions are rich and diverse cultural practices that have spanned centuries. These traditions are deeply rooted in local folklore, with each region having its own unique beliefs and practices, including New England. Throughout history, witches have been both revered as wise healers and feared as malevolent sorcerers.
In this workshop taught by Kris Gurky of Dark Moon Salem, we’ll focus on one tradition used as a form of protection from those malevolent, unseen forces, with a concentration on New England. At the end of the workshop, everyone will craft a Witch Bottle using antique bottles to take home.
This program is pay what you like. Tickets start at $45. EBT option is available.
